Do you have a Pet Friendly Rental or considering a Pet Friendly Rental as a Landlord?

At Horse and Chaise Rentals and Property Management, we strive to create a community that welcomes everyone and ensures a pet-responsible environment. These efforts have led us to PetScreening.com, a 3rd party pet screening service that is simple and secure while storing pet information in one central location. Rental applicants are now required to complete a Pet Profile for each of their pets or assistance animals. Pet profiles are $20 for the first pet and $15 for each additional pet. There is no charge for accommodation requests for assistance animals. Learn more in the brief video below:

Q: Do you recommend accepting pets?

A: It is recommended that a property owner be pet friendly where possible. Some HOA Rules and Regulations prohibit tenants with pets and not all properties are conducive to a pet friendly rental. Not accepting or considering pets you may be limiting your rental audience.

When will the program be full integrated?

All new applicants for annual rentals will be required to complete a Pet Profile as part of their screening process. For any existing long term tenants, we will require their Pet Profile be established as part of the renewal process. Finally, we will roll out this requirement for Seasonal or short term rentals next winter when we begin to book for 2020.
